Privacy Policy
Trades Operator provides business software for home-service companies. This policy explains what information we process, how we use it, and the safeguards we expect around sensitive contractor and customer records.
1.1Information We Collect
We may collect account information, business profile information, user login information, customer contact records, job records, estimates, invoices, payments, refunds, call records, recordings, transcripts, SMS and email activity, technician notes, photos, signatures, dispatch records, location-related field data, accounting records, integration metadata, support messages, and website usage data. We do not intentionally collect Social Security numbers, medical records, consumer credit underwriting data, or full payment card numbers. Payment card data is handled by payment processors; Trades Operator stores display-safe payment metadata, payment status, provider references, and tokenized records needed to operate the service.
1.2How We Use Information
We use information to provide the platform, operate contractor workflows, connect records across the customer, job, payment, accounting, and attribution lifecycle, secure accounts, process billing, provide customer support, maintain audit logs, detect abuse, troubleshoot issues, improve the product, and comply with legal obligations.
1.3AI Features
Trades Operator may use AI features to summarize calls, draft follow-ups, identify operational risks, explain records, prepare recommendations, and help users review business activity. AI outputs are assistive and must be reviewed by an authorized user before sensitive actions are taken. Customer-facing, payment, accounting, schedule, and automation workflows may require human confirmation.
1.4Sharing Information
We may share information with service providers that help us host, secure, operate, analyze, support, or bill for the service. We may also share information with integrations you authorize, such as payment processors, communications providers, accounting systems, calendar providers, mapping providers, analytics tools, and AI providers. We do not sell customer business records, customer contact data, payment records, call recordings, transcripts, or job records.
1.5Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect sensitive information, including tenant-scoped access controls, encryption in transit, secure credential handling, role-based permissions, MFA-gated sensitive actions, audit logs, monitoring, and provider access controls. No system can be guaranteed completely secure, but security is treated as a product requirement.
1.6Retention, Export, and Deletion
We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain accurate business records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, maintain backups, and support legitimate business needs. Customers may request deletion or export of eligible data, subject to legal, accounting, security, backup, and operational retention limits.
1.7Your Choices and Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive a copy of certain personal information. California residents may also have rights to know, delete, correct, opt out of sale or sharing, limit use of sensitive personal information, and avoid discrimination for exercising privacy rights. Requests can be sent to hello@tradesoperator.com.
1.8Communications and Call Recordings
If a contractor uses Trades Operator for calls, SMS, email, recordings, automations, review requests, referral requests, or marketing follow-ups, the contractor is responsible for required notices, consent, opt-out handling, call recording disclosures, carrier requirements, and other communications obligations. Trades Operator may provide consent and opt-out tools, but those tools do not replace legal review.
